FAQ

There are lots of myths around CBD so I thought I’d share some of my hard-sought wisdom with you.

I have spent hours upon hours researching suppliers of organic CBD oils and am confident at Condihemps we use only the absolute best, full spectrum, organic CBD oils currently on the market. Ordering products from Condihemps means we’ve done all the hard work for you…..there are a lot of products out there.  If you’re curious let me take you through some of the questions I get asked all the time…

What is CBD Oil?

CBD (or to give it its full title, Canabidnol) is a product derived from Cannabis. It’s a type of Canabidnol which are the chemicals NATURALLY found in marijuana plants. This should not be confused with THC which is a different Canabidnol altogether and not a legal one. As the girls from Goggle Box say ‘THC, that’s the one that gets you stoned!’. NOT CBD oil.

The CBD is extracted from the Cannabis plant and then it’s diluted with a carrier oil. At Condihemps we use CBD with Hemp oil.

Why is it good for you and what are the health benefits?

CBD has been studied for its potential role in easing symptoms of many common health issues which include anxiety, depression, acne, heart disease as well as numerous other aches and pains. More specifically for me it relieved my symptoms of sciatica and……….girls and boys pay attention……. extreme PMT. It is also widely used for the treatment of cancer patients, offering a natural source of pain relief as well as aiding sleep in some cases.

Why eat it?

It became apparent, whilst I was exploring how people consume CBD, that not everyone will be confident with the type of CBD to buy in terms of brands, strengths & dosage. To support consumers with this we have created a quick, easy and tasty way to enjoy food and consume the correct amount of the best possible CBD oils within foods. By eating my products I’ve optimised the dosage to ensure optimum absorption of the good stuff.

Why can’t I buy it in a supermarket?

Given the connotations attached to CBD, that it is essentially derived from a cannabis plant, lots of larger retailers have yet to commit to buying CBD products as part of their ranges. Many small independent shops stock all types of CBD products, as well as some cafes who serve CBD infused drinks.

It’s also a very expensive supplement, so to create on a large scale could be damaging to them in terms of profit given the quantities these retailers buy in.

Will it taste funny?

CBD oil is not tasteless, it tastes like any herb derived from a plant does, so think rosemary, thyme and basil type flavours. The recipes I’ve created compliment really well the earthy, rich flavours of our quality CBD oils.

Once you are familiar with the flavour and know it’s working its magic the taste will become a pleasure. I look forward to my daily dosage as it makes me feel like I’m being hugged by a cloud and please tell me who doesn’t want that experience?!

I hope you all love my products as much as I do and I am just so happy to be able to share what I love with you.
